# Waymo

Waymoの自動運転技術は、第6世代技術の導入により大きく進化しました。同社は現在、より高度なセンサーとAIシステムを活用し、完全自動運転を目指しています。Waymoの最新車両には、過酷な気象条件にも対応できるスマートなセンサーが装備されています。

Waymo Driverと呼ばれる自動運転システムは、カメラ、レーダー、ライダーセンサーを統合し、認識、行動予測、計画を行う高度なAIアルゴリズムを搭載しています。また、Waymoは運行エリアの詳細な事前マップデータを引き続き使用しています。

Waymoの商用無人タクシーサービス「Waymo One」は、複数の米国都市に拡大しています。2024年時点で、フェニックス、サンフランシスコ、ロサンゼルスでサービスが完全に運行中です。最近、オースティンで一般向けの乗車提供を開始し、2025年初めには商業運行を予定しています。また、Uberとの提携により、2025年初めにアトランタでもサービスを開始する予定です。

さらに、Waymoはヒュンダイと提携し、全電動のIONIQ 5 SUVなどの新しい車両モデルにその技術を統合しています。また、Waymoは個人輸送を超えた自動運転トラックなどの用途にも取り組んでおり、自動車業界の様々な分野で自動運転技術を推進していることを示しています。
